Day 1 Fly USA to Cape Town (Via Johannesburg)

Day 2 Arrive Cape Town
Arrive in spectacular Cape Town, also known as the “Mother City”. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to soak up the atmosphere of Cape Town and the waterfront area.

Day 3 Cape Peninsula Tour
See for yourself how this spectacular southern tip of Africa became known as the 'Fairest Cape'. See how this spectacular southern tip of Africa became known as the ‘Fairest Cape’. Begin with a stroll through the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Drive past the pristine beaches of Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno – currently the hottest real estate in the world – to Hout Bay, a functioning harbor and heart of the local crayfish industry. Drive along the breathtakingly scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive, around the Atlantic Seaboard.

After a stop for lunch (own account), it’s on to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and its scenic viewing point. The amazing sea and mountain views are reason enough to make the 41 mile trip from Cape Town. Amid the rocky landscape – home to mountain zebra, eland and ostriches – blooms magnificent Cape flora. Continue along the coastline to the beautiful Boulders Beach where you can stroll along wooden walkways and enjoy viewing a colony of penguins. The last stop is at the naval port of Simon’s Town, the country’s third oldest European settlement.

Day 4 Winelands Tour
A whole day dedicated to the indulgence and splendor of Africa's premier wine region. Escape to the beauty and tranquility of the Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch Winelands. The first stop is the Afrikaans Language Monument, perched on Paarl Rock, which offers sweeping views of the surrounding area.

Continue onto wineries of well-known estates to sample wines of merit, before visiting the Huguenot Monument and Museum in Franschhoek to discover the origins of this world renowned wine producing region. Enjoy lunch in one of the many fine restaurants in either Franschhoek or Stellenbosch (own account). Don’t miss the world-famous 19th century-style general dealer in Stellenbosch’s Dorp Street – Oom Samie se Winkel.

Day 5 Fly Cape Town to Port Elizabeth
Upon arrival you will be assisted to the awaiting vehicle and transferred to the Shamwari Game Reserve. Spend the remainder of the afternoon enjoying the activities offered at the camp.

Shamwari Game Reserve is home to Africa’s Big 5 (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard), is malaria free and is situated in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

Steeped in pioneer history, and dating back to the time when a multitude of game roamed wild and free, the 25 000 hectare reserve boasts five eco-systems, thus enabling the support of many forms of plant, animal and bird life.

Shamwari is situated in verdant bush along the Bushmans River, halfway between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown, a pleasant drive from Cape Town and forms a natural extension to the famous Garden Route.

Day 6 On Safari, Shamwari Game Reserve
Enjoy great game drives while learning and experiencing the very best that African wildlife viewing can offer.

Day 7 Fly Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg
On arrival you will transfer via shuttle to Sun City. Drive time is approximately two and a half hours.

Sun City dazzles with its glamorous casinos, gourmet restaurants, extensive sports facilities and star-studded spectaculars.

Day 8 At leisure, Sun City
Sun City is a fabulous resort complex which captivates visitors with its combination of golf, game and gambling as well as world-class hotels. Try your luck in one of the Casinos’ or spend the day outside at the Valley of the Waves.

Day 9 Fly Johannesburg to USA
Transfer from Sun City back to Johannesburg for your overnight departure flight.
