Day 1 Fly USA to Johannesburg

Day 2 Arrive Johannesburg

Transfer to your overnight accommodation.

Day 3 Fly Johannesburg to Windhoek

You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Windhoek combines the modern city architectural style with that of the German colonial era.  The city is a bit provincial, although the atmosphere does have cosmopolitan flare as well.

Day 4 Fly Windhoek to Sossusvlei

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Sossusvlei. Namibia's famous highlight in the heart of the Namib Desert is a huge clay pan, enclosed by giant sand dunes. Only after a heavy rainfall, which is a rare event in this area, does the vlei fill with water.

Day 5 At leisure, Sossusvlei

Unique and breathtaking in its beauty, Sossusvlei is situated in the Namib Naukluft Park. The photogenic lure of this area is breathtaking, boasting exceptional scenery, as well as a wild and romantic spirit. Why not experience the unimaginable magic of flying above the desert in a hot air balloon?

Day 6 Fly Sossusvlei to Damaraland (Via Walvis Bay)

Fly over the dunes of the Namib and Sossusvlei continuing westwards on to the Atlantic and then up the Skeleton Coast. Drive to Walvis Bay for a great boat trip out to sea for seals, dolphins and sometimes even penguins and whales. After lunch, travel further up the Skeleton Coast before turning east and flying up the Huab River to Damaraland.

Day 7 At leisure, Damaraland

Damaraland includes miles of deserted beaches littered with ghostly ship wrecks, fascinating geological features and historical rock paintings. Activities at Damaraland center around nature drives and walks into the haub River system. Star-gazing is excellent with the crystal clear skies and there are no fences in the area which gives one a complete feeling of freedom.

Day 8 Fly Damaraland to Etosha National Park

The word ‘Etosha’ means ‘the great white place of dry water’. The heart of this area is an expanse of shimmering images created by this vast salt pan.

Day 9 At leisure, Etosha National Park

While in the area, be sure to visit Tsumeb, a town rich in minerals and metals, especially if you are interested in geology.

Day 10 Fly Etosha to USA (Via Johannesburg)

Fly by small aircraft to Windhoek. Upon arrival connect to your departure flight back to the USA.

Day 11 Arrive USA
