Accommodation

The ambience filling each room is created from original modern pieces of furniture from some of the best furniture designers, antique Persian rugs thrown over blue stone floors and complete with original art from Karl Maughan. Understated European chic is the key to the décor, with furniture from B&B Italia, Cassina, Pelton Frau, and the media system is Bang & Olufsen and Savior beds all complemented with lighting from Artemide. This is all set against perfect white walls that spread the abundance of sunshine and moonlight throughout the Lodge.

Fabulous bluestone bathrooms are equipped with the softest of towels from Descamps and your own selection of Jo Malone, Ren or Malin + Goetz goodies complement a swimming pool sized bath to soak in whilst gazing towards the southern night sky.

The Lodge is designed to minimize its environmental impact, at every level and is a net extractor of carbon from the atmosphere. Murcutt & Lewin have orientated the Lodge to maximize solar gain during the winter and minimize the gain during the summer period. The house is wonderfully cross vented, to ensure there is no need for air conditioning; short runs for all utilities reduce waste. There is an operational commitment to recycle all waste as well as a commitment to support local organic producers.
