The Pool Wing, comprising Pool Rooms, Pool Access, Pool Deluxe and Pool Suites, overlooks the famous Hayman Pool and tropical gardens. Level 3 also offers views out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring Hook Island. This wing is ideal for guests wishing to be close to and enjoy views of the icon pool.

The Palm Wing, comprising Palm Rooms, is centrally located in the resort with excellent access to all facilities.

The Lagoon Wing, comprising Lagoon Rooms, Lagoon Deluxe, Lagoon Suites and 11 Penthouses, overlooks the tranquil lagoon, tropical gardens and Lagoon Pool. Level 3 and 4 - the latter housing the resort Penthouses - also offer views out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring Hook Island. This wing offers larger rooms and suites than those in the Pool Wing.

The Beach Wing comprises Beach Front rooms and a private Beach Villa fronting Hayman Beach, and Retreat Rooms set back from the beach in tropical gardens. This wing is ideal for couples wishing to stay in boutique accommodation in tranquil surrounds.

Palm Room
Centrally located on Levels 2 and 3 of the Palm Wing, above the Hayman Arcade and close to the famous Hayman Pool. The bathroom contains a shower only. These rooms do not offer sea views.

Pool Room
On Level 2 of the Pool Wing, overlooking the famous Hayman Pool and gardens. Each room has a generous balcony and spacious marble bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Pool Access
On Level 1 of the Pool Wing, these rooms are uniquely located on the edge of the Hayman Pool and offer the ultimate Hayman experience. Each room provides direct access from the room's balcony straight into the pool. This room offers the same interior design as the Pool Superior room (see Pool Superior category under Rooms & Suites for interior shot). This includes a spacious marble bathroom with a shower located over the bath.

Pool Deluxe
On Level 3 of the Pool Wing, overlooking the famous Hayman Pool, gardens, Hayman Beach and Coral Sea. Special features include an open style contemporary bathroom with louvred shutters allowing stunning sea views from the bathroom. The bathroom also features a separate shower and bath.

Pool Suite
On Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Pool Wing, overlooking the famous Hayman Pool and gardens. Suites on Level 3 also offer views of the Hayman Beach and Coral Sea. Each suite has a separate bedroom, dressing room and lounge/dining room. Special features include a double balcony and large marble bathroom with separate shower and bath. An adjoining twin bedroom can be added to selected suites to create a two-bedroom suite.

Beach Front
Located in the Beach Wing, on the Hayman Beach, fronting the Coral Sea and adjacent to the famous Hayman Pool. An exclusive group of 10 absolute beachfront rooms, each has a private terrace extending onto the white sandy beach. Each room is appointed throughout with terracotta tiles and the bathroom contains a romantic double spa with separate shower.

Beach Villa
Situated on the Hayman Beach, overlooking the Coral Sea. This magnificent villa is unlike any other accommodation on Hayman, offering contemporary stylish beachfront living blending soft sand and marine hues, local timbers, woven rattan and natural furnishings. Features include concierge service, enclosed courtyard, outdoor deck with refreshing plunge infinity pool, refreshment bar, 42" plasma screen television and state of the art sound system. A large bathroom features a double vanity, frameless glass shower and centerpiece bath plus personalized bathroom amenities. There is a separate guest bathroom and outdoor rockery shower.

Retreat Room
In the gardens of the Beach Wing within 10 meters of the Hayman Beach. An exclusive group of 16 rooms, each has a strong relationship with the outdoors, and the tropical surrounds provide a lush canopy enveloping a verandah and outdoor rinse shower. The interior is a peaceful haven of natural tones and rich grained woods. Special features include a daybed and an open plan luxurious bathroom with a sunken bath that overlooks a private rockery garden with outdoor rainwater shower.

Lagoon Room
On Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Lagoon Wing, overlooking the Lily Lagoon, Lagoon Pool and gardens. Special features include a spacious bathroom with double vanity and open plan dressing room.

Lagoon Deluxe
A select number of rooms that offer views of the Coral Sea, whilst overlooking the Lily Lagoon, Lagoon Pool and gardens. The interior includes a spacious bathroom with double vanity, open plan dressing room and en suite area.

Lagoon Suite
On Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Lagoon Wing, overlooking the Lily Lagoon, Lagoon Pool and gardens. Suites on Level 3 also offer views of the Hayman Beach and Coral Sea. Each of these luxurious suites has a separate bedroom, dressing room area, guest bathroom and lounge room. Décor reflects a relaxed resort feel, featuring soft, natural textures, cool marbles and rich, warm woods. A large balcony is furnished with an outdoor teakwood setting. Penthouses
Penthouses, located on Level 4 of the Lagoon Wing, overlook the Lily Lagoon, Lagoon Pool, gardens, Hayman Beach and Coral Sea and offer butler service and use of the Penthouse Lounge. The Beach Villa is a beautiful retreat perched on Hayman Beach.

La Fontaine
Elegant La Fontaine offers a formal, yet relaxed atmosphere - a sense of grand occasion - created by a combination of soft and rich tonings and romantic lighting amid Louis XVI furnishings, Waterford crystal chandeliers and a magnificent central limestone fountain. Guests are treated to an exquisite selection of authentically prepared modern European cuisine utilising the best in local and international produce. The cuisine is matched by La Fontaine wine cellar's impressive range of over 750 vintages from the world's premier vineyards.

La Trattoria
Al fresco home-style Italian and Mediterranean dining in La Trattoria is enjoyed in a rustic indoor and outdoor setting of local timbers, hand beaten chandeliers, hanging vines and terracotta tiles. Famous for its spectacular antipasto displays and piping hot pizzas, La Trattoria's lively village atmosphere is enhanced by dance music from the resident band.

Oriental
Specialties of traditional Asian cultures are prepared with innovative flare at Oriental, overlooking a ceremonial tea house, which can seat 10 guests for a private dinner, and tranquil garden filled with rock pools and waterfalls. Dining platforms, each seating 4 guests, are scattered among exquisite gardens and provide a unique setting for dinner. Inside, Oriental is adorned with antiques and artifacts including 18th Century screens, copper lamps and a happy Buddha.

Azure
Overlooking the Hayman Beach and beyond to the Whitsunday waters and neighboring islands, Azure presents Australian contemporary cuisine from an open show kitchen, specializing in fresh seafood, in an indoor and outdoor setting.

Hayman provides an ideal setting for exciting sporting pursuits and relaxing leisure activities, within the magnificent resort facilities and island landscape. Younger guests are invited to visit a dedicated children's activities centre at Hernando's Hideaway.

Guests can enjoy a diversity of leisure activities within this world-acclaimed resort. There are numerous sporting pursuits, plus tours and classes - some going behind-the-scenes, and special places and activities for peace and solitude.

Sport
The resort offer five floodlit tennis courts, two squash courts, a nine-hole putting green, a golf target range plus croquet, table tennis, badminton, snooker and pool, all compliments of Hayman. The Activities Centre offers exercise regimes, personal training and fitness equipment and organizes weekly sporting challenges and tennis clinics. Guests can also travel to the mainland for a round of golf at Laguna Whitsundays Resort 18-hole championship course, designed by David Graham.

Pools and Spas
One of the largest pools in the Southern Hemisphere, the famous salt-water Hayman Pool surrounds the Pool Wing and incorporates a small heated freshwater pool. The heated freshwater Lagoon Pool is set among tropical gardens in the Lagoon Wing and has two spas nearby.

Beaches
The Hayman Beach, lapping the Coral Sea, hugs the resort and offers year-round swimming and catamaran sailing, windsurfing and paddle skiing, all complimentary. On the other side of the island, Blue Pearl Bay One (accessible by foot) and Blue Pearl Bay Two plus nearby Langford Spit (both accessible by speedboat) are ideal for snorkeling and picnic lunches.

Tours and Classes
Hayman offers complimentary self-guided art and garden audio tours. The art tour provides an insight into the history of selected artworks in the famous Hayman Collection which is on display throughout the resort. The garden tour takes in some of the fascinating botanical species which form part of the island's magnificent garden landscape. Complimentary tours, conducted by the Hayman team, include Kitchen Tours of the vast food preparation areas, Chocolate Room and acclaimed La Fontaine Wine Cellar. Guests can also learn the secrets of cocktail mixing and join regular culinary classes

The Hayman Arcade houses boutiques, showcasing the latest in day and evening wear and accessories by leading local and international designers, plus a jeweler, display of artworks, news agency and photographic supplier and developer.

Books and Games
Guests may borrow books from the library in The Club Lounge. Popular board games are available for loan from the news agency.

Movies and CDs
New-release blockbusters are regularly screened in the Entertainment Centre, at no charge, and in-room pay movies are also available. The news agency stocks a selection of CDs for loan.
