This is a reef experience like no other, board
Thunderbolt 1 and you will find half the fun is
getting there!! Departing from Cairns at 12.30pm
the Thunderbolt will take you to the Outer Reef
via Fitzroy Island for your half day outer reef
experience. Enjoy two hours of snorkeling at two
reef sites with all snorkeling gear and
instruction included. Afterwards, return to
Fitzroy Island where you transfer to our fast
catamaran for your return journey to Cairns.

beautiful Fitzroy Island you can choose to
depart Cairns in the morning on the 8.30am or
10.30am fast catamaran

8.00am/10.00am
Check-in at the Fitzroy Ferries Desk at the Reef
Fleet Terminal to collect your boarding pass
prior to departure.
8.30am/10.30am/12.30pm
Transfer by fast catamaran to Fitzroy Island on
board the Fitzroy Flyer.
9.15am/11.15am
Arrive on Fitzroy Island. Take the morning at
your leisure.
1.00pm
Check in at the Thunderbolt Counter on the
island to receive your dry bag and snorkel gear.
Change into snorkelling gear.
1.30pm
Thunderbolt 1 departs Fitzroy Island for a 3
hour round trip to the outer reef travelling at
up to 80 km/hr! Visit 2 different reef sites
and snorkel among the amazing coral and marine
life.
4.30pm
Return to Fitzroy Island, change into dry
clothes.
5.00pm
Depart Fitzroy Island for your transfer to the
Reef Fleet Terminal. |

hour making the outer reef accessible in just
one hour, and sea sickness a thing of the past!
