Sofitel Tahiti

Located on the only natural white sand beach in Tahiti, the resort embraces its own moon-shaped curve of beach on secluded Maeva Bay, facing a deep water lagoon dotted with colourful yachts.

Evoking a casual elegance, intricate artistry blends with natural materials. Large windows framing views of the pool and lagoon allow natural light to fill the interior, while traditional carved totem poles take pride of place in the reception area, providing a strong link to the island’s cultural heritage.

Built to represent a terraced Mayan pyramid, the Sofitel’s 216 guest rooms offer stylish contemporary furnishings with all the latest modern comforts including internet connection and satellite TV – and all boast private balconies overlooking the gardens, pool, lagoon or mountains.

A range of leisure activities are on offer from tennis to a golf driving range, a dive centre and a host of water sports – or you can simply relax by the pool or soak up the sun from a hammock in the gardens.

Sofitel’s two restaurants offer a choice of traditional or international dishes, as well as Japanese cuisine featuring the freshest locally caught seafood.

Dining

World class cuisine in a tropical setting

The sparkling waters of the turqoise lagoon and the rich colours of the lush garden create the perfect backdrop for your culinary adventure. Executive Chef, Patrick Ruel, brings his unique experiences and passion for exotic ingredients to the Sofitel Tahiti. Not to be missed is his famous warm coconut pie with Tahitian vanilla ice cream.

With its own ahimaa, the traditional pit oven used by locals, Sofitel Tahiti also features weekly Tahitian Tamaaraa feasts where pork, chicken, fish and vegetables are wrapped in banana leaves and baked for hours on hot stones. The feast is accompanied by a local show featuring traditional dancing in colourful costumes and beautiful French Polynesian music.

From casual poolside salads and burgers to the spectacle of traditional teppanyaki, Sofitel Tahiti offers three food and beverage outlets that will fill your senses:

Moorea Snack Bar

Le Moorea is a relaxed poolside bar and restaurant offering casual dining and snacks, along with an extensive array of tropical cocktails. Beautiful views across the lagoon make it the perfect setting for sunset cocktails, or an after-dinner drink while you enjoy the musical entertainment.
