Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 1 Mon Fly USA to Sydney

Day 2 Tue Cross the Dateline

Day 3 Wed Arrive Sydney
Make your way to your hotel and settle in to your surrounds.

Pre-tour Overnight: Four Points by Sheraton, Darling Harbour, Sydney.

Day 4 Thu Coffs Harbour
Depart Sydney at 7.30am. Travel the scenic coastline of New South Wales to Coffs Harbour. Tonight enjoy a welcome drink with your Tour Director and fellow traveling companions.

Accommodation: Novotel Pacific Bay Resort, Coffs Harbour, 1 night. (D)

Day 5 Fri Gold Coast
Journey to the Cape Byron Lighthouse and enjoy the superb views from Australia's most easterly point. Stop in Byron Bay before continuing to the famous Gold Coast.

Day 6 Sat Fraser Island
Travel along the Gold Coast to Brisbane for an orientation tour of the city and learn about opals. Continue to Hervey Bay for the ferry crossing to remarkable Fraser Island.

Day 7 Sun Fraser Island
Take a 4WD half-day tour of the island. Marvel at the majestic rainforest at Central Station. Visit beautiful freshwater lakes, surrounded by white sandy beaches. (B)

Day 8 Mon Yeppoon
Return to the mainland and stop at a cattle station. Enjoy afternoon tea at the homestead then cross the Tropic of Capricorn and on to the coastal resort of Yeppoon. Sample Crocodile for dinner this evening!

Day 9 Tue Daydream Island
Travel north through Mackay, Australia’s sugar capital, then onto Airlie Beach, gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. Ferry across to Daydream Island, in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.

Day 10 Wed Daydream Island
At leisure to explore the island. (B)

Day 11 Thu Townsville
Head north to the tropical city of Townsville. Enjoy a guided tour of Billabong Sanctuary.

Day 12 Fri Atherton Tablelands
Journey north from Townsville, then climb the high tropical plateau known as the Atherton
Tablelands. Visit Millaa Millaa Falls and the famous Curtain Fig Tree. Enjoy a guided cruise on Lake Barrine, before making our way to Port Douglas.

Day 13 Sat Port Douglas
A full free day in Port Douglas awaits you today. Perhaps explore the World Heritage Rainforest,
enjoy a walk along Four Mile Beach, or just sit back and relax by the pool. (B)

Day 14 Sun Great Barrier Reef
Cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a reef education presentation and view the spectacular corals and tropical fish from the Underwater Observatory and the semi-submersible craft. Go snorkeling and view this natural living wonder up close. Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch before returning to Cairns.

Day 15 Mon Kuranda
Board the Kuranda train for an historic journey through the scenic countryside. Arrive at the cultural rainforest village of Kuranda with time to wander through the colorful market. Board the Skyrail Cableway that takes you above the canopy of the tropical rainforest. Visit the famous Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park where the legends of the Dreamtime are brought to life. Day 16 Tue Fly Cairns to USA (Via Sydney)
Your tour concludes today after breakfast. You will be transferred to Cairns Airport for your onward flight. (B)
