This iconic award-winning resort is located on the northern lagoon of Vatulele Island just a 25 minute flight from Nadi. This island is surrounded by stunning coral reefs and the resort is located on one of Fiji’s most stunning white sandy beaches. Each bure is set back from the beach and only steps to the crystal blue lagoon.

The bures are open plan with an expansive Terrace and internal living area, a king-sized bed and dressing area off the oversized bathroom – with exquisite linen, wet bar, furniture, pools (on request), air-conditioning, media (if you do not ask us to lock it away) and personal wine fridge. The telephones mean personal attention is only a call away but can be turned off if you wish.

Guests are offered the opportunity to enjoy the best food and beverage in the region, whether it is in the restaurant, beneath the stars, or at one of the many private dining options available to guests.

Vatulele Island Resort is recognized for providing guests the opportunity to experience the best food and beverage in the region. In the welcoming warm weather, dining is on the terrace of the large central pavilion overlooking the lagoon.

The bar provides a perfect setting to relax any time of the day or evening serves an array of cocktails and healthy drinks. By night, tables are set beneath the stars and lit with lanterns and candlelight. Fresh ingredients are sourced from the resort’s own gardens and an emphasis is on seafood from the Fijian waters.

Room Information

The 19 Villas or bures (pronounced boo-rays) are carefully and thoughtfully placed along the South coast of the island and are encapsulated by our 2 top premium villas; The Point and Vale Viqi.

The major influence in the design of the Bures is Santa Fe meets South Pacific. The idea was to ensure that each Bure embodied a barefoot luxury essence, in a simple space in which to free the mind and refresh the soul. Enjoy easy access to the water, each Bure with its own stretch of white sand.

All Bures offer air-conditioning, mini bar, wine bar, DVD player with flat screen monitor, sound system, iPod docking station, hammock and outdoor shower. The bures are located more than sixty-five feet apart from the next, affording guests total privacy, surrounded by dense natural jungle

Deluxe Beach Bure
The Bures are spacious and private, offering easy access to the water and white sandy beach. Twelve doors open to an expansive terrace, and from the living room, you walk up three steps to the bedroom, with a gorgeous king-sized bed and a dressing area.

Includes air-conditioning, mini bar, wine bar, DVD player with flat screen monitor, sound system, iPod docking station, hammock and outdoor shower. The bures are located more than twenty metres apart from the next, affording guests total privacy, surrounded by dense natural jungle.

Deluxe Beach Bure with Pool
These luxurious villas have an infinity fresh water pool on the edge of a spacious terrace. With air-conditioning king-sized bed, large living area opening onto the pool and terrace, dressing area, DVD player with flat screen monitor, sound system, iPod docking station, mini bar, wine cooler, double hammock and outdoor shower, you may never want to leave your room.

The water and white sand beach is just steps away while the natural jungle surrounding the villas offer total privacy.

Vale Viqi
Vale Viqi or ‘pink house’, is the name for the Grand Honeymoon Bure. The most remote of the bures, this uniquely designed bure is noted for its extreme privacy and architectural detailing. Vale Viqi provides a spacious 182 square metres, or 1,960 square feet of generous proportions plus a private courtyard and decking area ideal for open-air entertaining. It offers air conditioning throughout, entertainment system, two indoor showers, outdoor shower, bidet, intimate dining area and a private plunge pool, all surrounded by beautiful tropical foliage leading to convenient beach access.

A full-time personal butler and electric cart transportation is included. Like its big sister The Point, Vale Viqi becomes heavily booked as it is ideally suited to honeymooners and guests looking for an exclusive villa experience.

The Point
Experience extravagance and opulence in Fiji’s most exclusive accommodation. This is a premium bure providing a commanding view of the idyllic lagoon and the entire stretch of beach. It has two levels, with air conditioning and two private fresh water plunge pools. Additionally the villa is attended by a personal butler who is trained to anticipate every need. This bure is in high demand with honeymooners and high profile guests seeking total privacy.

Things To Do

The crystal waters of Vatulele invite every kind of water-based activity, including sailing, paddling, snorkeling, fishing, and diving. Even swimming experience takes on a new dimension here. For those who are even more active, there is a tennis court.

Guides will take you on hikes into the jungle, where you can learn about native plant medicines, see ancient petoglyphs, visit important archaeological sites, swim in underground caves, or visit the unique home of the red prawns.
