Day 1: Fly Los Angeles to Melbourne on Virgin Australia

Day 4: Savannah Walkabout
Departing the city, travel just 45 minutes west to the bushland of You Yangs Park, home to a large and healthy population of wild Koalas. Take an easy walk through the gum trees, searching for koalas, wallabies, kangaroos and birds in their natural setting. Your Nature Guide will point out plants and features of interest, explain some of the history of the area and, where possible, introduce you to known, named koalas that are part of a research project.
The area you walk through is also of great significance to the local Aboriginal People of the Wathaurong Tribe. Many signs of their occupation still remain and though you will not be meeting any Aboriginal People on this tour, you act with the knowledge, consent and support of the Wathaurong Community. Then visit the Serendip Open Range Sanctuary where you are immediately amongst wild kangaroos and native birds. A picnic lunch is served in an open-air setting and includes delicious Australian 'Billy tea'. Walk through the gum trees, across grasslands and sometimes over a dry lake bed in search of wild mobs of kangaroos, also look out for curious Emus and take a short walk to a billabong, home to large populations of waterbirds.

Pass by quaint old villages and apple orchards, connecting with the picturesque Bells Line Road heading into Sydney.

Spectacular Sydney Afternoon - Lunch & Sights
You will be collected late morning from your hotel to see the highlights of downtown Sydney before venturing into some of the exclusive harbourside residential areas where we stop for a 2-course lunch. From lunch we continue our sightseeing including the famous areas of Bondi Beach and Paddington before returning to the city. This is a very special small-group tour designed to give you a feel for this great city by showing you more than just the normal must-see 'tourist sites'.
