Day 1 Fly USA to Johannesburg
Overnight on board your flight to Johannesburg, South Africa.

Day 2 Arrive Johannesburg
On arrival in South Africa, you will make your way through passport control, collect your luggage and then continue through customs.  After you have completed these formalities, please make your way to the arrivals hall, and look for our representative who will be holding a sign with your name on it.

They came from far and wide to strike it rich when gold was discovered here in 1886, and the “City of Gold” still pulsates with entrepreneurial energy.

Johannesburg is and intriguing, dynamic city of astonishing contrasts, a huge metropolis where opulent wealth and desperate poverty live side by side. A must-see is the Apartheid Museum which takes you on a fascinating, shocking, humbling and ultimately inspiring journey.

Day 3 Fly Johannesburg to Timbavati Nature Reserve
Today you will fly on board a scheduled shuttle flight to your lodge in the Timbavati.  Please note that depending on the number of passengers, this flight may stop at lodges on the way.

The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve comprises 53,392 hectares of private land adjoining the Kruger National Park. The reserve came into existence in July 1956, when a group of conservation-minded people who owned game farms on the western boundary of the Kruger Park came together to form the Timbavati Association. Numerous species of game abound, the most famous of which is the “white lion”. 

Currently, there are over 40 mammal species in the Timbavati including the Big Five of Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant as well as 360 species of bird life.

Day 4 On Safari, Timbavati Nature Reserve
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with knowledgeable rangers in open vehicles. You will be served tea, coffee and biscuits on your morning game drive and drinks and canapés on your afternoon game drive. Your afternoon game drive gets back after dark, which gives you the opportunity to spot our nocturnal animals with a spotlight. 

Day 5 Fly Timbavati Nature Reserve to Sabi Sand Game Reserve
Today you will fly on board a scheduled shuttle flight to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Please note that depending on the number of passengers, this flight may stop at lodges on the way.

The Sabi Sand Reserve was formed in 1950 and comprises many private game farms. Sabi Sand offers a spectacular African safari experience with superb volume of game and quality of sightings. The Sand and the Sabi Rivers supply much-needed water to the region, creating an incredibly bio-diverse wildlife population. The reserve is also situated on a doleritic dyke, which ensures that the resulting soils are high in nutrition, producing one of the best grazing and browsing habitats in southern Africa.

Days 6-7 On Safari, Sabi Sand Game Reserve
Africa's big game abounds and each day is different, as you explore the endless fascination of Africa's wildlife in an open landrover. Leopard on the hunt. Lions roar at twilight. Hippo wallow in the river. Crocodile bask on a sandy bank. Overhead majestic eagles keep watch. Out walking you will discover some of the endlessly fascinating small creatures of Africa. These are just a few of the amazing encounters awaiting you!

Day 8 Fly Sabi Sand Game Reserve to Johannesburg
Today you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight on board a scheduled shuttle aircraft to Johannesburg Airport. Please note that depending on the number of passengers, this flight may stop at lodges on the way.

Fly Johannesburg to New York
Overnight on board your flight back to the USA.
