Tahiti
The island of Tahiti, towering over the ocean like a
proud and royal Queen, is crowned by a circle of
majestic peaks. The mountainous interior shelters deep
valleys, clear streams, and high waterfalls, all bathed
in the green iridescence of Mother Nature's light. The
flat coastal lands, edged with a rugged coastline, are
home to fields of tropical flowers and most of the
island's population.
Papeete, the invigorating capital city and gateway to
French Polynesia, boasts world-class resorts, spas, fine
restaurants, nightclubs, and endless shopping at the
vibrant markets, pearl shops, and boutiques. |

Fiji
Sunny,
unique and unspoiled, the Fiji Islands are one thousand
miles of pristine white sand beaches, fabulous coral
gardens and azure lagoons. Fiji’s 333 islands can
sizzle with excitement or murmur with the quiet calm of
pristine nature. Swim with huge, harmless manta rays
congregating by the shore, snorkel over giant rainbow
gardens of soft coral, or scuba dive the White Wall and
famous Astrolabe Reef. The sun shines almost everyday
in Fiji and when it does rain, people rush outside for a
rainbath in the warm, brief downpour of a tropical
shower which ends as quickly as it began. Here, life is
lived for the simple joy of it all, where rushing is
rude, and the name of a new friend is never forgotten.

Cook Islands
With
its multihued lagoon and rolling plains, it is easy to
see why Aitutaki is called the “Bora Bora of the Cook
Islands.” Although eerily similar to Bora Bora in
appearance, Aitutaki has a personality all of its own.
Home to two of the Cook Island’s leading resorts,
Aitutaki’s standing as an “it” island hasn’t tainted its
South Seas charm. Reminders of old Polynesia hide
around every corner. Most of the island’s 2,100
residents work the coconut, pineapple, and banana
plantations dotting the island, and can be found fishing
one of the South Pacific’s most beautiful lagoons on the
weekends. That is not to say that Aitutaki doesn’t have
its fair share of modern day pleasures, a stroll though
Arutanga village will assure you of this, but shopping
will be the last thing on your mind when you have an
entire beach to yourself and can doze off listening to
the wind tousle the trees. |

Vanuatu
Time
seems to stand still here, perhaps that is why the
string of lush green islands forming the nation was
named Vanuatu or the “Land Eternal.” Slip into velvety
seas and explore an underwater kingdom untouched by
time. Discover caves and swimming holes where
generations of ni-Vanuatu (indigenous inhabitants) have
spent lazy afternoons playing and are more than happy to
share these special places with you. Although Vanuatu
has hotspots and high-rises, particularly in the capital
city of Port Vila, what most attracts visitors to these
islands and keeps them coming back is the focus on
tradition and Melanesian Kastom – the real Vanuatu.
