Originally from Harare, Zimbabwe, Donna began her career in tourism in the hotel industry. Her passion for travel drove her to London, working at a deluxe hotel for two years, where she got the chance to explore Europe. She continued to work in the hotel industry back home in Harare, but then ventured on to Victoria Falls, still one of the worlds most magical and mysterious places she’s ever seen. From there she was lucky enough to travel extensively within Southern Africa and see some of the most spectacular and unique wildlife. In 2000 she ventured abroad once more, this time to exotic Dubai for two and a half years, as part of the management team for the opening of the magnificent Emirates Towers Hotel, with the prestigious Jumeirah International, before settling in the USA, at Swain Tours as an Africa specialist.  Being part of Swain Tours has enabled Donna to continue her exploration of Africa and stay in touch with all the fantastic tourist development in the region.
