Yo!
I am born and raised in
the Philadelphia region, but in a past life, I must have been born somewhere
in Asia. That could explain why I keep going back.
I have a bachelor’s degree
in World History from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree
in Asian Studies from St. John’s University. Having lived in Beijing and
Taipei, I know those cities pretty well. I have traveled extensively
throughout all of East and Southeast Asia. I would have to say my favorite
romantic and spiritual destination is Bali, my favorite set of ruins is
Banteay Srei in Cambodia, my favorite small city is Luang Prabang, my
favorite large city is Beijing, my favorite tour is the excursion to the
village of Shirakawa-go in Japan and my favorite dish is green papaya salad
with dried shrimp from Thailand, or fresh sushi from the Omicho market in
Kanazawa, or soup dumplings in Shanghai…. In my opinion, eating local food
is the best reason to visit Asia. Trust me; I am not afraid to try
anything! As you can see from my picture, I am chowing down on some
barbeque squid in Hakone, Japan. That is pretty tame, in my opinion.
I love sharing my
firsthand knowledge with my clients to ensure they have an amazing trip when
they go to Asia. I have been selling trips to Asia for 4 years, so give me
a call, and I’ll help you plan your journey to the Far East!
